1. RBI HAS NEW DEPUTY GOVERNOR (S. S. Mundra)
A). RBI (Reserve Bank of India's) has official announced their new deputy governor Mr. S S Mundra. Today Mr. SS Mundra has taken the charge of banking supervision, currency management, financial stability and rural credit. Government of India announces his appointment for next three years.
B). Before taking the charges for Deputy Governor Mr. Mundra was the chairman of Bank of Baroda, the second large bank of India. Mr. Mundra started his career as a probationary officer in Bank of Baroda in March 1977.
C). This designation of deputy governor in RBI had fallen vacant since March 2014 after former deputy governor KC Chakrabarty put in his papers three months before his term ended.

2. IN CWG AT GLASS GLOW VIKAS GOWDA WINS FIRST ATHLETICS MEDAL
A). India got their first athletics gold medal in the Commonwealth Games AT Glass Glow. Vikas Gowda wins the first gold medal in men's discuss throw event on Friday.
B). Vikas Gowda is 31-year-old US-based Indian got the gold with an effort of 63.64m, way below his personal best effort of 66.28m, under incessant rain at the Hampden Park.

3. PINKI RANI BAGS FIRST MEDAL IN BOXING AT CWG 2014
A). Under the category of 48 to 51 kg Pinki Rani bagged a bronze medal at Glass glow. Pinki Rani lost her semi-final match to Michaela Walsh from Northern Ireland making Pinki Rani eligible for a bronze medal.
B). In the Boxing this one was the first medal India got. 4 other Indian Boxer will also be seen in semi-final action tonight at CWG.

4. INDIAN HOCKEY PLAYER SARDAR SINGH SUSPENDED AFTER SECOND OFFENCE
A). In Commonwealth Games, Indian hockey team captain Sardar Singh has been suspended for the semi-final match against New Zealand on Saturday. This one was his second dangerous offence of the tournament so jury decide to suspend him from next two matches.
B). Indian Team management appeal to the jury and after their appeal the jury reduced the suspension to one match.

5. BRAHMOS MISSILE VERSION (INDO-RUSSIA PACT PLANNED)
A). The manufacturer of “Supersonic cruise missile” is BrahMos Aerospace. On this Friday BrahMos Aerospace said it is hopeful that a pact to develop a sleeker and faster 'mini' version of the missile will be signed during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to India in December this year. 
B). The new CEO of BrahMos said that he was expecting that the missile would be inducted into the services by 2017.

6. DOUBLE-DACKER TRAIN LUCKNOW TO DELHI WILL COME VERY SOON
A). From September month of this year a double-decker train will run between New Delhi and Lucknow. The trial will be runs in August 2014.
B). A green signal has been given by the railways safety commissioner on Friday.

1. INDAIN ARMY HAS NEW ARMY CHIEF (Gen. Dalbir Singh Suhag)
a). New Army Chief Lieutenant General Dalbir Singh Suhag taken the charges.
b). 59-year-old Lieutenant General Suhag take the charges from General Singh today. The Lieutenant General Suhag, is a Gurkha officer who had participated in the 1987 Indian Peace Keeping Force operation in Sri Lanka, will have a 30-month tenure.
c). Before this designation Gen. Dalbir Sing is the Vice Chief of Army Staff in December last year before that he was the commander of Eastern Army.

2.  EXTERNAL AFFAIRS MINISTER SUSHMA AND JOHAN KERRY CO-CHAIR FIFTH STRATEGIC DIALOGUE.
a). U.S. Secretary of State Mr. John Kerry & Indian External Affairs Minister Mrs. Sushma Swaraj on Thursday co-chaired fifth Indo-US Strategic Dialogue. During this discussion the two sides discussed related to the “transformative initiatives” in key areas of security and energy.
b). The Two leader of US and India held nearly an hour-long restricted meeting before they were joined by their delegations comprising senior representatives from various ministries including energy and trade.
c). After this Strategic Dialogue discussion, Mr. Kerry along with Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker also met with Finance and Defence Minister of India Mr. Arun Jaitley.

3. PM IS GOING TO LAUNCH GOVT’S. FINANCIAL INCLUSION CAMPAIGN
a). Indian PM (Prime Minister) Mr. Modi will launch the Govt. campaign for financial inclusion to guarantee the banking service to 7.5 crore households in India.
b). While addressing a press conference in Delhi at Vigyan Bhawan today Indian Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley said that government objective is to reach every household possible and have at least two account holders in every house.

4). THIS YEAR NEW DELHI WILL HOST 3RD INDIA AFRICA SUMMITT
a). This year the third India Africa Summitt (IAFS-III), will be hosted by New Delhi, on the 4th, December this year. The Second Summit was held in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa 2011.
b). While giving the information during Rajya Sabha session today, the External Affairs Minister Mrs. Sushma Swaraj said that preparations for the IAFS-III have begun in consultation with the African Union.  

5). THE PRICE OF PETROL IS CUT BY RS. 1.09 A LITER
a). All Indian Oil marketing companies have slashed retail selling price of petrol by Rs 1.09 a litre in Delhi, with a corresponding decrease in other states due to the strengthening of the Indian rupee vis-à-vis the US Dollar. The price cut will be effective from midnight July 31/August 1.
b). While the Oli Marketing companies increases the price of DIESEL by 0.56 for all customers in Delhi.

6). SOUTH AFRICA PLAYER KALLIS ANNOUCES HIS RETIERMENT FROM CRICKET
a). The start player of SA Jacques Kallis is one of the greatest all-rounders of all times. Today he announces his retirement from all formats of international cricket.
b). Jacques Kallis in the conference said that he is only retering from international cricket format and not retiring from cricket as he has a two-year contract with the Sydney Thunder. He also said that he would also help the Kolkata Knight Riders defend the IPL title.

7). ENGLAND BEAT INDIA IN THEIR 3RD TEST MATCH BY 266 RUNS
a). India hast lost third 3rd Test match against England at Southampton by 266 runs on Thursday. 
b). Now England have level the 5 Test match series by1-1 against India.
c). In the second inning Indian team were bowled out only for 178 runs before lunch. Spin bowler Moeen is the start player and he took four more wickets to his two from the previous evening and make his career-best figures of 6-67.

1. Related to Glass glow Commonwealth Games 2014:
Indian Wrestler Sushil, 2 others Indian wrestler bags 3 gold for India on first day of wrestling at Glass glow. On the first day of the wrestling competitions at CWG at Glass Glow on Tuesday India claim 3 Gold in wrestling.
          a). Famous Indian wrestler Sushil under men's 75kg freestyle wrestling category won the Gold while Amit Kumar won the yellow metal in men's 57kg while Vinesh Phogat finished on top in women's 48kg at the SECC Hall.

          b). Under the Men’s 125 kg freestyle event Rajeev Tomar won the Silver Medal after losing down to the Canada’s Korey Jarvis by 0-3 in finals.
          
          c). Indian Wrestler Amit Kumar bags Yellow medal by defeating Nigeria wrestler Ebikweminomo Welson by 6-2 in his final bout.

2. New President Elected in Iraq (Fuad Masum):
a). The member of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) party Mr. Muhammad Fuad Masum was elected as the seventh President of Iraq on 24 July 2014.

b). The president is selected by the overwhelming majority by the Council of Representatives of Iraq (Iraqi Parliament) in Baghdad. Mr. Fuad Masum won the election by grabbing 211 votes as their opponents get only 17 votes.

c). Mr. Faud Masum is the 2nd  non-Arab President of Iraq after Jalal Talabani who founded the PUK party and is the incumbent President of Iraq.


3). Word Bank Decide to give loan to West Bengal for the Improvement of Gram Panchayat.
a). The World Bank is going to give the loan around one thousand two hundred crore rupees to the Government of West Bengal. World Bank is giving this loan for the improvement of a thousand Gram Panchayats in the West Bengal State.

b). The State Panchayat Minister Mr. Subrata Mukherjee gave this information at Kolkata.  The minister said that the funds which Government get will be utilised in 9 districts of West Bengal to bring a thousand Panchayat bodies under the Nirmal Gram Panchayat scheme in the next five years.

4). A fixed tenure for CJI recommends By Law Commission.
a). The retirement age for the Judges of Supreme Court and High Court will be 65 years remaining unchanged. A fixed tenure for Chief Justice of India.

b). The Chairperson A.P. Shah has made these three changes in the Law Commission.

5). CoSC has new Chairman Mr. Arup Raha
a). Mr. Arup Raha, the IAF chief today took the charges of Chairman, Chiefs of Staffs Committee, from incumbent Gen Bikram Singh who is retiring tomorrow.

b). The Chairman, Chiefs of Staffs Committee is the senior-most military officer in the country.
