Today SBI Activated the official link to download the Call letter for Preliminary exam. So those who applied for SBI Probationary Officers Examination 2016 can now download their call letter or Admit card for the Examination. The preliminary exam to be held for the post of Probationary Officers in the SBI bank from the date 2nd July to 10th July 2016.

SBI PO RECRUITMENT 2016-17 IS OUT
Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs) in State Bank of India. Candidates selected are liable to be posted anywhere in India. Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join State Bank of India as a Probationary Officer, is required to register online for the Recruitment Process. The examination will be held in two phases - preliminary and main. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for main examination and shortlisted candidates in the main examination will subsequently be called for a Group Discussion & Interview. Prospective candidates will have to apply after carefully reading the advertisement regarding the process of examinations and interview, eligibility criteria, online registration processes payment of prescribed application fee/intimation charges, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters etc. and ensure that they fulfil the stipulated criteria and follow the prescribed processes. The tentative schedule of events is as follows:

1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR SBI PO RECRUITMENT 2016:
(A) Essential Academic Qualifications: (As on 31.08.2016) Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Those who are in the Final Year/Semester of their Graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if called for interview, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.08.2016 for this SBI PO Recruitment 2016.

 (B) Age Limit: (As on 01.04.2016) Not below 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2016.

State Bank of India (SBI) will change the SBI Probationary Officer Mains exam 2016 pattern. Syllabus for SBI preliminary examination is same as last year. Below we explained the exam pattern for SBI PO Exam.

Phase I : SBI PO Preliminary Examination 2016
SBI Preliminary Exam is an objective type with all multiple choice type questions. Total marks allocated for this section are 100. Department will conduct this exam in online mode only. It has 3 sections as follows. Time duration is one hour.

Phase II : SBI PO Main Examination 2016
SBI PO Main Exam will comprise of an objective type test and descriptive type test. Objective type test is for 200 marks and descriptive type test is for 25 marks. Department will conduct these both tests in online mode only. After completing online objective test, department will conduct descriptive test for all candidates. Expected questions in main exam are 155 only. Main exam is for time duration of 3 hours.
Expected Pattern of Objective Test :  :
Time duration for objective type test is 3 hours. It will comprise of four sections. Each section has individual timings. It is for 200 marks. Aspirants must qualify in each test. So there is individual cut off marks in this section.

Expected Pattern of Descriptive Test :
Department will conduct a descriptive type test for 25 marks in the time duration of 30 minutes. There is English language test (Essay and letter writing). Marks to qualify this test will be decided by the bank.
Negative Marking :  :
There is a negative marking for each wrong answer type question. Department will reduce 0.25 marks for each wrong answer questions. Answer for all questions, if you put blank answer for a question i.e. no answer will be marked by applicant, then there is no penalty for that type of question.
Phase III: GD & Interview
Aspirants who will be secured pass marks in main examination, will be informed for Group Discussion and interview rounds. So merit list of candidates will be prepared by department on the basis of marks secured in Main examination (Phase II) i.e. both descriptive test and objective test.

Final Result :
Final list of candidates will be prepared by department based on Phase II and Phase III rounds. Written Test marks are converted to 75 marks (out of 225 marks); Group Discussion & Interview are converted to 25 marks (out of 50 marks).
