Girls outperformed boys yet again in the Central Board of Secondary Education Class X examination, in which the top rank was shared by 13 students with 499 out of 500 marks. Bathinda’s Manya Jindal and Ambala’s Divjot Kaur Jaggi figured among the top 13.

The pass percentage was 91.10 percent, an improvement of 4.40 percent since last year. The second rank was bagged by 25 students, who scored 498 out of 500 marks, while the third rank was shared by 59 students who got 497 marks.

Those who shared the second rank in the region are Kaashvi Jain (Ambala), Sakshi Saxena (Palwal), Rohan Batra (Ambala), Drishti Gupta (Panchkula), Stuti Dixit (Faridabad) and Priyanka (Ambala). Thirteen students from the region, including Rishika Chaudhary and Hiteshwar Sharma of Panchkula and Shridhar Vashishtha of Chandigarh made it to the all-India third rank.
