Eligibility
Criteria for Apprentice Jobs in India (Rail Wheel Factory)
1. Age Limit (as on 01.03.2026)

2. Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Passed
10th Standard/Matriculation or equivalent with minimum 50%
aggregate marks from a recognized Board.
- Possess
National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade issued by
NCVT.
For CNC Programming cum Operator (COE Group), training
duration differs as specified in the notification.
3. Employment Exchange Registration
- Candidates
must be registered with the Local Employment Exchange.
- Preference
will be given to candidates registered in Karnataka.
- Wards
of Serving Railway employees are also eligible, subject to conditions
mentioned in the notification.
Stipend Details
During apprenticeship training at the Rail Wheel Factory:
- ₹12,261/-
per month for trades such as Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle),
Turner, Electrician & Electronic Mechanic.
- ₹10,899/-
per month for CNC Programming cum Operator.
(Stipend payable as per rules and subject to revision)

Selection
Process
The selection will be strictly on merit:
- Merit
list prepared based on 10th Standard/Matriculation marks.
- In
case of equal marks, the older applicant will be given preference.
- Trade
allotment will be as per merit and reservation rules.

Medical
Standards
Selected candidates must produce a Medical Fitness
Certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-E), signed by a government-authorized doctor.
