Age Bond: The age limit for the SSC

Selection Process of SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024
The selection process for SSC
Stenographer includes a computer-based test (CBT). Candidates who
successfully pass the CBT exam will then be invited to participate in a
stenography skill test. Upon successful completion of the skill test, the
candidates will undergo medical examinations and their documents will be
verified to confirm their eligibility for the position.

Exam Pattern of the SSC Stenographer 2024
The computer-based assessment designed to
select candidates for the subsequent round of the selection process is
scheduled to take place between October and November of the year 2024. This
exam, specifically for the SSC Stenographer position, features a
total of questions that each carry a value of one mark. The duration allocated
for the entire examination is set at two hours, allowing candidates ample time
to complete the questions. It is important to note that there will be a system
of negative marking implemented during this test, whereby each incorrect
response will result in a deduction of 0.33 marks from the candidate's total
score. This means that careful consideration is necessary when answering
questions to avoid penalties for wrong answers.
There are three types of written exam
questions:
1. Reasoning (50 questions)
2. General Awareness (50 questions)
3. General English and
comprehension (100 questions).
Negative Marking: 1/3 (0.33)marks will be
deducted for every wrong answer.
SSC Stenographer 2024 Proficiency Exam
Candidates who successfully pass the Computer
Based Test (CBT) will subsequently be invited to participate in the stenography
test. The pattern for the SSC Stenography Test is outlined below for
candidates' reference:
During the stenography test, candidates will be given a dictation that lasts
for 10 minutes, which will be delivered in either English or
Hindi, depending on the choice made during the online application process. The
dictation is presented at a speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for those
applying for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ position, while candidates aiming for
the Stenographer Grade ‘D’ position will receive the dictation at a speed of 80
w.p.m. It is important to note that the dictation must be accurately
transcribed using a computer. The allotted time for completing this
transcription is specified as follows:
