Age Bond: To be eligible for the SSC CGL Exam 2025, candidates must be at least 18 years of age. The upper age limit, however, is not uniform across all posts; it ranges from 27 to 32 years, contingent upon the specific requirements of the position being applied for. It is important to note that age relaxation provisions are in place for candidates belonging to reserved categories, as per the regulations and guidelines set forth by the government.
· Specifically, candidates from Other Backward
Classes (OBC) are entitled to an age relaxation of 3 years.
· For candidates who belong to the Scheduled Castes
(SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST), an age relaxation of 5 years is applicable.
· Furthermore, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for a more substantial age relaxation of 10 years. These relaxations are designed to ensure equitable opportunities for all candidates, as per governmental policies.

Selection
Process
The selection procedure is comprised of a series of distinct phases, each designed to assess different skills and competencies of the candidates.
First Stage: The initial stage,
referred to as Tier-I, involves a Computer-Based Examination of an objective
nature, focusing on evaluating fundamental knowledge and aptitude.
Second Stage: Subsequently,
candidates who successfully clear Tier-I will proceed to Tier-II exam, which
also consists of a Computer-Based Examination with an objective format. This
second tier aims to further assess the candidate's understanding and
capabilities in relevant subject areas.
Third Stage: Following the
successful completion of Tier-II, candidates will advance to Tier-III. This
tier incorporates a Computer Proficiency Test, designed to evaluate the
candidate's practical skills in using computer applications, and/or a Data
Entry Skill Test, assessing speed and accuracy in data entry tasks, and
Document Verification to ensure the authenticity of the documents provided by
the candidate.
How much
is the application
Fee for applying?
For candidates belonging to the General and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories, the application fee is Rs.100. This application fee is applicable to all male candidates falling under the General and OBC categories.
However, candidates who are Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and all female candidates are exempted from paying the application fee. The application fee for these categories is Nil. This means that no application fee is required for SC, ST, PwD, and female candidates.
Mode of Payment: The mode of payment for the application fee is strictly online.
Candidates can make the payment through various online methods such as Net
Banking, Credit Card, or Debit Card. Offline payment methods are not accepted.
