Candidates selected for appointment for posts of SI in CAPFs and ASI in CISF are liable to serve anywhere in India.

Eligibility Criteria For this SSC Recruitment 2018

1. NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP:  A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to the Examination provisionally but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

2. Age Limit: 20- 25 years as on 01.08.2018 ( i.e. candidates born not before
02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.1998 are eligible).

Note-I: Candidate should note that the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/
Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate only, will be accepted by the Commission for determining the Age eligibility and no subsequent request for its changewill be considered or granted.

3. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AS ON 01.08.2018:

Educational Eligibility :

SSC introduce a new notification in which they said that SSC department is going to postpone the SSC CGL Examination 2016. SSC department has made this significant change in the advertising which was posted earlier.


THE CHANGE IN THE EXAM IS DUE TO FOLLOWING REASONS:
1. SSC Department Changes the names of some posts,
2. Increase in age Limit and Grade pay for some positions.
3. SSC in advertising said that 18 to 27 years age limit was fixed, but now it has been 20 to 30 years.
4. Increase in the Grade Pay Scale of Various Post.
