PRACTICE QUESTIONS OF RATIO AND PROP – 6
1.) The income of A, B, C is in the ratio of 5:7:8 and their expenditure are in the ratio of 4:7:5. If B saves two-fifths of his income then find the savings ratio of A,B,C?
(Ans 13 : 14 : 25)

2.) The income of A, B, C are in the ratio of 4:5:6 and their expenditure are in the ratio of 2 : 3 : 4. If B saves one-third of his income then find the savings ratio of A,B,C.
(Ans 16 : 15 : 14)

3.) The income of A & B are in the ratio of 5 : 3. The expenses of A, B and C are in the ratio of 8 : 5 : 2. If C spends Rs 2000 and B saves Rs 700 then find the savings of A.
(Ans 1500)

4.) One year ago the ratio of income of A & B is 3 : 5. The ratio of their last year's income to current year income is 2 : 3 and 4 : 5 respectively. If their total current year income is Rs 4300 then find their income individually.
(Ans 1800, 2500)

5.) Rs 102 contained in a box consist of one rupee, 50 paise and 25 paise coins in the ratio of 4:5:8. Find the no of 25 paise coins.
(Ans 96)

6.) A bag contains 3 types of coins one rupee, 50 paise and 25 paise coins totaling 140 coins. If the total value of coins of each kind is the same then find the total amount in the bag.
(Ans 60)

7.) The Price of gold is directly proportional to the square of its weight. A person broke down the gold in the ratio of 3:2:1 and incurred a loss of Rs 4620. Find the initial price of gold.
(Ans 7560)

8.) If there is a reduction in the number of workers in a factory in the ratio of 10 : 7 and an increment in their wages in the ratio of 27 : 30 then find the ratio by which total wages of the workers should be decreased.
