      2.       Junior Assistant (HR) - 06 Posts (ST-06)

Pay Scale: Rs.9200/- to Rs.22,400/- per month for post no.1 ; Rs.7300/- to Rs.17,800/- per month for post no.2

Educational Eligibility: Eligible candidates should have the qualification of Graduation in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks. Short hand speed in english is 80 words per minute for post no.1, 35 words per minute for post no.2 Post qualification experience will not be required for both posts.

Age Bond: Maximum age for Personal Assistant/ Stenographer posts and Junior Assistant (HR) posts as on 01st March, 2016 is 27 years. 5 years age relaxation is there for SC/ST candidates, 10 years for PWD candidates.

Selection Process: Candidates will appear for Written exam followed by skill test. Applicants who secured at least 50% marks in Written test, will be called for skill test. Questions will be asked in Written exam are from General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language Comprehension. Every year Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts entrance exams for the recruitment of large number of candidates for various posts in different departments. For this year, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam of Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. The minimum educational qualification for all candidates is graduation from a recognized University or Institution.SSC CGL Syllabus 2016 Below:

Qualification For the Posts Of CGL Examination 2016 :-


All eligible candidates should have the qualification of bachelor degree in any subject from a recognized Institute or University. Secured at least sixty percentage of aggregate marks in mathematics at their Intermediate level.

Important Dates :


Last Date to apply online for SSC CGL Examination 2016 is 14th March, 2016.
Registration of Part-I examination up to 10.03.2016 (5.00 PM) 

Registration of Part-II up to 14.03.2016 (5.00PM).

Application Fee :

There is no application fee for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, Ex-Servicemen and women candidates. Rs. 100/- (One hundred only) for all other candidates.

Verification of Documents :

There is a document verification for all candidates. It is mandatory for all. Candidates failing to do so shall not consider for final selection Process. Candidates are required to submit all original certificates for verification at document verification round.

How to Apply :


  • To apply for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam 2016, candidates may log on to official website and apply online.
  • Candidates should keep the registration number assigned to them online. There is no need to submit print out of their application forms.

General Intelligence & Reasoning - 50 Questions for 50 marks ; General Awareness - 50 Questions for 50 marks ; Numerical Aptitude - 50 Questions for 50 marks ; English - 50 Questions for 50 marks. Total Duration/ Timing for General candidates is 2 hours. Total Duration/Timing for Visually Handicapped candidates is 2 hours 40 minutes. 


  SSC CGL Syllabus 2016 For Tire 1st :


  • General Intelligence & Reasoning : It has the questions of both verbal and non-verbal. It has the questions on Analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc.
  • General Awareness : Question of this type will be aimed to test the general awareness of candidates around him. It will be conducted to test the knowledge of scientific aspects, current events. This test will include questions belonging to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific research etc. These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
  • Numerical Aptitude : The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be the computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions and relationships between numbers.
  • English Comprehension : Candidates ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc would be tested. Questions will be asked from error recognition, Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Synonyms, Antonyms, fill in the blanks, Sentence Structure, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, one word substitution, conversion into direct/indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs etc.
Pattern For SSC CGL Syllabus 2016 Tier 2 :


Combined Graduate Level Examination Tier II is an Objective Type Multiple Choice. Questions will be from Arithmetic Ability - 200 Questions for 200 marks ; English Language & Comprehension - 200 Questions for 200 marks ; Commerce/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics - 200 Questions for 200 marks. Total Duration/ Timing for General candidates is 2 hours. Total Duration/Timing for Visually Handicapped candidates is 2 hours 40 minutes.

SSC CGL Syllabus 2016 For Tire 2nd :


  • Arithmetic Ability : This Arithmetic Ability paper consists problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Average, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Use of Table and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time etc.
  • English Language & Comprehension : Error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, one word substitution, improvement of sentences, active/passive voice of verbs, conversion into direct/indirect narration, shuffling of sentence parts, shuffling of sentences etc.
  • Commerce/Mathematics/Statistics/Economics : For Investigator Grade-II, for Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation and Compiler for Registrar General of India, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Pattern For SSC CGL Syllabus 2016 Tier 3 :


It will be conducted in 3 sections. Interview Session, Computer Test, Skill test. Those aspirants who qualify in above papers shall be eligible to be considered for Personality Test/ Interview and/or Skill Test.

  • Statistics - Probability, Probability Distributions, Binomial, Poisson, Normal, Exponential. Compilation, classification, tabulation of Statistical Data, Graphical presentation of data etc.
  • Economics - General Economics, Indian Economics and General Statistics.
