The Centre for Cultural Resources and Training under the Ministry of Culture is calling out to upcoming young artistes, who intend to do advanced training in the fields of Indian classical music, Indian classical dance, theatre, mime, visual art, folk, traditional & indigenous arts, light classical music and others, to apply for this scholarship.

Eligibility: Applicants, who have underwent at least five-year training with their Guru or institutes and are falling in the age group of 18 to 25 years, are considered eligible. Basic knowledge in the above-mentioned field is necessary.

Details: Selected ones will be granted for a period of two years a sum of ~5,000 per month, which includes living expenses, travelling, books, art material or other equipment and tuition or training charges, if any.

This scholarship offer has been made by The Forum on Indian Traditional Medicine (FITM), in collaboration with the Ministry of AYUSH, to students who wish to pursue research in the area of economic, sociological, politico-economic, trade, management and digital or information technology related aspects of Indian Traditional Medicine (ITM).

Eligibility: For Doctoral Fellowship, the applicant must be a full-time PhD scholar in a recognised university with age not more than 28 years. For Post-Doctoral Fellowship, PhD degree holder with age not more than 35 years.

Details: Selected doctoral fellows will receive up to ~5,00,000 and ~7,50,000 will be rewarded to post-doctoral fellows.

Indira Gandhi Scholarship for single girl child
Girl students, who are in their first year of post-graduation, are extended economic assistance by University Grants Commission, to help make their higher education dream possible.

Eligibility: Applicant should be the only girl child or twin daughters in their family. The applicant must be pursuing regular full time post-graduation and should not be aged over 30.

Details: Selected students will be receiving an amount of ~36,200 for a period of two years or until the completion of their post-graduation course.

NBHM PhD offer
Students willing to undertake research for PhD or integrated PhD degree in mathematics are offered this scholarship by the National Board of Higher Mathematics, Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, to benefit them with the research assistance provided under this call for a period of four years.

Eligibility: Final year students or those who have completed master’s degree in pure or applied mathematics or statistics (MA, MSc. or equivalent); holding four year BS or equivalent degree and have secured a seat in a recognised PhD programme on or before August 1, 2019, are eligible to apply for this call.

Details: Selected candidates will be granted ~25,000 per month for first and second year and ~ 28,000 for succeeding years. In addition to, an annual contingency grant of ~32,000 and house rent allowance.

The Ministry of Finance is inviting needy candidates to apply for this scholarship.

1). UQ Economics scholarship
Academically strong students, who wish to undertake under graduation or postgraduate programme in economics from Australia-based University of Queensland, can apply.

Eligibility: The applicant must be enrolled in any UG or PG course in the university. For UG, they must have secured 90 per cent in Class XII and have cleared UQ maths entry requirement whereas, for PG, 80 per cent score in graduation is mandatory. Also, a minimum 6.5 overall and at least 6.0 in each sub band of IELTS or equivalent score is necessary.

2). The University of Lincoln India scholarship

4). Young India Fellowship
Applications are being invited for the Young India Fellowship (YIF), a one-year postgraduate programme in Liberal Studies at Ashoka University, Sonipat. Launched in 2011, this unique programme has become one of the most sought-after programmes in India, fostering academic, social and business leaders of tomorrow through a multidisciplinary liberal education.

Eligibility: The YIF programme is open to:
■Those with a recognised undergraduate or postgraduate degree
■Those who are no more than 28 years of age on 31st May, 2019
Admission process: Applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of an application evaluation, a telephonic interview and a final round of a written comprehension test and an interview. The admission process is split into three phases. The first phase of application submissions will close on November 15, 2018. Final selection will be based on the cumulative score of all the three rounds.

1). Water Advanced Research and Innovation Fellowship Program (WARI)
GoI, University of Nebraska Lincoln, Daugherty Water for Food Institute and IUSSTF have partnered and are offering the fellowship to bright students and scientists focusing on research and capacity building in the area of water as a fundamental importance for human development, the environment and the economy.

Eligibility: For internship, one must be pursuing doctorate in Water Science and Engineering of age less than 32 years. For the fellowship, one must be having doctoral degree in Water Science and Engineering and able to do independent research and have publications in academic journals of international recognition. The applicants age should not be more than 40 years and can be from the field of water resources, water chemistry and environmental engineering.

Details: A total of 5 interns and 5 fellows will be selected who will be felicitated with monthly stipend

2). NCERT Doctoral Fellowships
NCERT has declared this fellowship call open for young scholars to pursue doctoral research in education and related discipline from any recognized university or research institution of one's choice.

Eligibility: Doctoral degree holders with minimum 60% in both the graduation and postgraduation of age not more than 35 years. The applicant must have completed a UGC approved course of pre-doctoral research methodology or have enrolled for the same.

Details: INR 23K p.m. will be given to non-NET qualified candidates and INR 25K p.m. to the NET qualified fellows, an annual contingency grant of INR 10K p.a. and paid fellowship programme tours which includes accommodation, IIIAC fare and RIE hostel facility.

3). LAPA Fellows Programme at Princeton University
Princeton University's Program in Law and Public Affairs (LAPA) is offering independent scholars, lawyers, outstanding faculty members of any discipline and judges to apply for the residential fellowship 2019-2020, which requires them to dedicate most of their time to their own research and writing on law related subjects of empirical, interpretative, doctrinal, normative significance.

MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES FOR SINGLE GIRL CHILD
The Central Board of Secondary Education invites ‘Online applications’ from eligible students who have passed Class X Examination 2018 from the CBSE affiliated Schools for the following Scholarship Schemes: -

1. CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for +2 studies – 2018.
2. Renewal of Online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child X Pass awarded in 2017.

The details and eligibility conditions along with the application form are available on Board’s website i.e. www.cbse.nic.in at Scholarship Link.

1). Objective of this Scholarship Program
The Goal for this CBSE merit scholarship scheme for single girl child is to provide scholarships to the meritorious students, who are the only child of their parents; and have passed the CBSE Class X Examination with 60% or more marks and are continuing their further school education of Class XI and XII. The scheme is designed to identify the efforts of the parents in endorsing education among girls and to provide inspiration to meritorious students.

2). Allocation of scholarship
The number of scholarships for a particular year shall be variable and shall to awarded to all such "Single Girl Students" who have secured 60% or more marks in the CBSE Class X Examination in that year.

3). Eligibility criteria
This scholarship Scheme shall be given on the basis of merit list, from the result of CBSE Class X Examination. The required eligibility criteria shall be as under:

i). All Single Girl Students of their parents, who have secured 60% marks in 10th class or more than 60% marks in CBSE board and now also studying in Class XI & XII in School (affiliated with CBSE) whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m. during the academic year, shall be considered for the purpose.

ii) CBSE decide to provide scholarship to Indian Nationals only.

4. Rate of Scholarships and mode of payment
The rate of scholarship shall be Rupees Five Hundred (Rs. 500/-) per month to all the students who score 60% marks in 10th class. This Scholarship by the CBSE board shall be paid for maximum for 2 years. The Scholarship Payment will be made through ECS/NEFT.

The last date for submission of online applications is 5th October 2018 and hard copy of application form (renewal only) has to be submitted on or before 31st October 2018.  Hard copies received after the last date shall not be entertained.

NTSE Form Online 2018-19 ( National Talent Search Examination 2018-19)

NTSE Form Online 2018-19
NTSE is stands for “National Talent Search Examination”. This exam started in the year of 1963. The resolution of this scheme is to find brilliant students and nurture them. National Talent Search Scheme is for students studying in Class X.

1. Scholarships: On the basis of NTSE (National Talent Search Examination),they provide total of 1000 scholarships to the selected candidates. The amount of scholarship will be as follow:
a). Rs. 1250/- per month for Class -XI to XII.
b). Rs. 2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates.
c). The Amount of Scholarship for Ph.D. be fixed in accordance with the UGC norms.

NTSE Form Online 2018-19
2. Reservation: As per reservation policy of UT Chandigarh.

3. Selection Process: NTSE will conduct 2-stage selection process for award of scholarship to the applicants.
SCERT which stands for “State Council of Educational Research and Training” will conduct STAGE-I Exam through a written test. Selected students of Stage-I will be recommended to appear for Stage-II examination conducted by NCERT.

4. Important Dates: Dates for submission of Application Form and conduct of examination are given below:
Last Date for submission of Application Form Stage-1 at SCERT, Sector 32,UT Chandigarh is 20th September, 2018.
Date of Examination for Stage-1of UT Chandigarh 4th November, 2018 (Sunday)


5. Eligibility to appear in the examination:
·       Scored grade B2 and above or 61% and above marks in Class IX examination (in the academic session 201718) and has been promoted to class X (in the academic session 2018-19). 5% relaxation in marks for students in SC and PH Category.

·       Those students who had registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for this scholarship program.

6. Examination: The pattern of written examination will be as follows:
Paper1: Mental Ability Test (MAT)
Paper1: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
(Science - 40 questions, Social Science - 40 questions, Mathematics - 20 questions)

7. Merit List: The minimum qualifying marks in each paper will be 40% for general category and 32 % for reserved category students of SC and PH.

8. Selection for Stage-2: Ten selected students from Stage-1 examination will be forwarded for stage-2 examination to be conducted by NCERT, New Delhi. Number of selected students may vary as per time to time directions issued by NCERT. The division of selected students in different categories will be done according to reservation policy of UT Chandigarh.

9. Application Form: Application Forms can be collected from the office of Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Sector 32, UT Chandigarh or can be downloaded from the website of SCERT, UT Chandigarh i.e. www.siechd.nic.in . All correspondence relating to application form and other details should be addressed to the State Liaison Officer - Mrs. Mamta Sharma.

10. The completed application form duly signed by the Principal of the school should be submitted to the Director, SCERT before the last date i.e. 20th September 2018.

11. Announcement of Results: Result of the State Level NTSE (Stage-1) will be announced by SCERT in the first week of February 2019.
