Get Set for a race against time for Upcoming NEET Examination 2020 - IMPORTANT TOPICS FOR NEET EXAM 2020

Get Set for a race against time for Upcoming NEET Examination 2020

NEET 2020 EXAMINATION DETAIL

NEET 2020 is scheduled for May 3, 2020, and the results of the same are expected by June 4, 2020. NEET 2020 is very important as this year the exams of AIIMS & JIPMER have been abolished and the admission to these institutes will also be via NEET 2020. So there is a lot of excitement among the students as they have to give only one exam instead of three.

THE NUMBER GAME RELATED TO NEET EXAMINATION
■ A total of 15,93,452 lakh candidates have applied for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2020. In the year 2019, for the first time, over 15 lakh candidates had registered for the exam.

■ The number was expected to shoot up this year because the medical entrance exam - NEET has been made mandatory for admission to AIIMS and JIPMER. The website this year also witnessed a very heavy rush. A slight 4.87 percent rise has been witnessed in the number of candidates registered this year, increasing the 2019 tally by 74,083 candidates.

The current disruption in the academic calendars throughout the country should not upset your preparation for this important exam. It is time to utilize the extra time at your disposal constructively. Students should devote up to 8 to 10 hours per day to study. They should exhaustively revise Class XI & XII syllabus and take one test daily till the time of actual exam so that their body clock can be tuned as per the actual exam. If you don’t find too many tests then simply attempt previous years’ NEET papers. These papers will be more beneficial and will also help you to get familiar with the exam pattern.

Remember, NEET is a race against time as you have to attempt 180 questions in 180 minutes. What this means is that you have one minute to react as well as solve the question and that too with accuracy. NEET is also a high-scoring exam, so you can’t afford to give up too many questions.

NEET Examination 2020

IMPORTANT TOPICS
Physics: Modern Physics & Semiconductor devices, Magnetism & matter, Current electricity, newton laws System of particles & rotation motion.

Chemistry: Chemical bonding & molecular structure, s & P block elements, Equilibrium, Chemical Kinetics, d & f block elements.

Biology: biological classification, plant kingdom, animal kingdom, cell, human health & disease, ecosystem, principle of inheritance & variation, Human reproduction

TIPS: OTHER IMPORTANT POINTS WHICH STUDENTS CAN CONSIDER FOR ACING NEET 2020 ARE Get set for the race against time
1. Make a practical timetable.
2. Prepare according to the latest syllabus.
3. Practice regularly.
4. Refer to good study material.
5. Attempt full-length mock tests.
6. Focus more on topics that you are weak in.
7. Prepare short notes for last-minute revision.
8. Avoid guesswork.

Actually, in NEET zoology, botany, inorganic chemistry & organic chemistry do not involve numerical calculations, so these subjects should be attempted first as most of the problems here are memory or concept or fact-based. After completing this, one can move to physical chemistry followed by physics and devote proper time to calculations and rechecking these so that the is no mistake. Please do not create ego issues with any question. If it’s not working in 60 to 90 sec leave it and review it at the end.

Also remember that for zoology, botany, inorganic chemistry & organic chemistry NCERT books are the Bible. So don’t forget to revise these. At this time you are advised to focus more on Class XI syllabus as most students are cutoff from this due to board exams. Move to the Class XII syllabus once you have revised that of Class XI. All the best!

How You Can Start Preparing for Civil Services Exam 2020 - How to Start Preparing for IAS Exam 2020

Brace up for Civil Services 2020
How You Can Start Preparing for Civil Services Exam

Before knowing the art of decoding the syllabus for the civil services exam, it is imperative to understand its purpose. It has been statistically detected that maximum of the applicants take a step for the preparation without analyzing the nuances of what accurately is the demand of the examination. Random start based on others’ insights will leave you in dark. So, it is the syllabus that acts as a 'constitution' for preparation and any deviation from it will be null and void. Therefore, ‘rendezvous with syllabus’ should be considered as a very strong step of learning because it will act as the bedrock for the entire preparation through all the three stages of the examination.

Before we shift our gear towards decoding the syllabus, its significance should be very clear and immune from any doubts or if's and but's. Let's see, the meaning of decoding syllabus and how to do it. Also, it is equally important to know for all aspirants, be it neophytes or seasoned players. Take a leap in 2020 and unlearn the old-fashioned methods of preparation, bear no past burden and start afresh and new with a novel shovel to achieve what could not be achieved earlier.

how to prepare for civil service exam 2020

De-coding means breaking up the syllabus and integrating it with previous years' questions as well as current affairs. For example, starting with the preliminary exam syllabus one finds 'Art and Culture' is not mentioned clearly in the syllabus, but questions related to the same do appear in the exams. This shows that art and culture must be read in connection with current affairs.

■ Similarly, for all the papers of General Studies in Main examination, break every section into sub-sections by taking the help of previous years' questions. For example, in 2019 General Studies Paper-I, a question was, "Empowering women is the key to control population growth." Discuss. Over here writing simply about women empowerment will fetch undesirable marks, the content for such topics must be scooped from newspapers, magazines etc.

■ Once the syllabus is decoded, a candidate is enlightened enough to de-mystify the unpredictability of this exam by shedding irrelevant stuff and focusing more on what is going to bear results in exam. Say, it is about learning 'Indian Polity' where a candidate must stay focused by keeping all sorts of 'political masala' news at bay. This accurate demarcation will save time, money, energy and of course attempts as well.

■ Another step towards decoding is keeping the syllabus handy at all times. Squirreling it away after one reading, assuming a perfect hold on every section of this colossal mount is a misjudgment. Remember, this preparation should be interlinked and integrated as an 'organic whole' which is dynamic, evolving and growing.

■ Once, learnt the skill to keep all limbs of the Prelims and Mains syllabus co-joined and interactive, Personality Test will not be a tough nut to crack. The aura of knowledge gained will help in getting good marks in the Personality Test (Interview).

Aspiring to be a civil servant should not be for pomp-gusto, power and prestige, but for a profound desire to usher in a change in the lives of many. Be hopeful, stay healthy and strive for excellence!
